Honnelles

Comprising the 10 villages of Angre, Angreau, Athis, Autreppe, Erquennes, Fayt-le-Franc, Marchipont, Montignies-sur-Roc, Onnezies, and Roisin, the municipality of Honnelles is nestled within the Hauts-Pays Natural Park.

From the Caillou-qui-Bique to the Bois d’Angre, and the many hiking trails throughout the municipality, Honnelles is an ideal destination for nature lovers. It is also home to remarkable architecture, including the Château Ferme de Rampemont, the Ancient Castle of Roisin, the Saint-Brice Church, the Château de Montignies-sur-Roc, and the Saint-Roch Chapel.

Honnelles is also a cultural hotspot, notably through the Émile Verhaeren Museum Space, where the renowned poet sought peace and inspiration in Roisin. The town hosts numerous events throughout the year, celebrating its rich heritage.

Built in 1849 in a neoclassical style, the chapel is a hidden gem, surrounded by lime trees and nestled in a landscape of forests, valleys, and picturesque villages.
